Juno Street in Forest Hills

When we took on the task of renovating this three bedroom home in Queens, we knew that the house had not been updated for many years. Still, we found proof in an old newspaper being used as a shim. It was dated 1954! Fortunately, the time had come to bring this gem on Juno Street in Forest Hills into the twenty-first century and help it reveal its full potential.

As it happens with any credible renovation, we started inside and worked our way out. In order to bring this abode up to code, we replaced the plumbing and rewired the entire house, from the basement panel to the second floor lights. Little changes (such as recessed lighting and under cabinet illumination) not only brightened the space but also enhanced the mood of the entire home.

New doors and windows captured the charm of the home. In the future, they will let the homeowners save on heating and cooling expenses. With skim coating applied to all walls and ceilings, the rooms are now level and smooth, giving the house a “just built” appearance. Individual shades of paint were chosen for each room, making them unique and fresh. Closets were built in each bedroom as well.

In order to maintain the authenticity of the home, the original hardwoods were refinished. Once they were sanded and completed with a rich stain, they made a visual impact throughout the entire house. As a bonus feature, we installed a darling bay window in the front of the house, adding character to the living area and curb appeal on the outside.

In the kitchen, we completed a total renovation, installing modern appliances and new cabinets. With a stunning subway tile backsplash, this kitchen makes a memorable impression. Similar to the kitchen, we started bathroom renovation from scratch. It also received new tile, with an intricate pattern that was planned using our tile design software. The shower was rebuilt and the bathtub was reglazed.

We are really proud to transform old spaces into something new and desirable. This home renovation was no exception. Could your outdated real estate be our next success story and your future investment?
